Too often, we settle for a faith that is safe, soft, and stagnant—one that shies away from discomfort and shrinks back from the impossible. But genuine biblical faith is neither passive nor timid. It is bold. It believes beyond what the eyes can see. It dares to act because it is anchored in the One who holds the universe in His hands.
When Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 17:20, it was after His disciples had failed to cast out a demon. Their failure wasn’t due to a lack of effort, but a lack of true faith. Jesus reminded them—and us—that victory in spiritual battles comes not through our strength, but through total dependence on God. Mountain-moving faith isn’t about our ability; it’s about His authority.
Hebrews 11, the “faith chapter,” powerfully reminds us that those who trust God walk by faith, not by sight. They obeyed, endured, and overcame—often without immediate results—because they were fully persuaded of God’s faithfulness. Their faith wasn’t in outcomes, but in God’s character. That same faith is what we are called to live by today.

But He calls us to trust Him, not just with words, but with surrendered hearts and obedient lives.
So let go of doubt. Lay down self-reliance. Cling to the truth of Scripture and the name of Jesus Christ. Faith that moves mountains begins with full surrender and grows through unwavering confidence in God’s Word.
Don’t settle for a faith that plays it safe, choose a faith that speaks to mountains—because with God, nothing shall be impossible.
